Treviso historic town centre
he Maggior Consiglio is in a very strategic location because it is close to many facilities: for those who wish to visit Treviso and its historic town centre, the Maggior Consiglio is an ideal place to stay as it is less than 5 minutes by car away from the heart of the town. For those who wish to use public transport, leaving their own car in the large car park at our hotel, two bus routes actually go along the Via Terraglio in front of the hotel, where you will find the bus stops for line 21 and line 7 which will take you straight into the centre of Treviso. For those who wish instead to take a healthy walk, it takes around 15 minutes to walk to the town centre, just 1.5 km from the Maggior Consiglio hotel.
Antonio Canova Airport
The Maggior Consiglio is only 3 km from Treviso’s Antonio Canova Airport which, together with Venice’s Marco Polo Airport, forms the third largest Italian airport and is used by well-known airlines. Our hotel is around 5 minutes by car from Treviso airport and can also be reached conveniently by taxi which you can book through out concierge service. If you prefer to use public transport, you will need to take two buses: line 6 from the airport to the railway station and line 7 which stops right outside the Maggior Consiglio. The Maggior Consiglio is ideally located for Venice-Tessera Marco Polo Airport, which can be reached in just 20 minutes using the A27 motorway and the Treviso ring road (so with no traffic lights). Alternatively, you can get to the hotel by public transport from the airport to Mestre and then by train to Treviso station.

Venice can be reached easily by train in only twenty minutes on a direct line with many connections at every hour of the day. Our hotel concierge service can help you find the times for journeys to and from Treviso railway station. From the station, it takes less than 5 minutes by car to reach the Maggior Consiglio. Bus routes 7, 8 and 21 stop right outside our hotel offering a convenient way to get to the hotel. You can also walk to the station in around 15 minutes.
Ghirada sports complex
The Ghirada, also known by everyone as the “City of Sport” is a major multi-purpose sports complex set up in 1982 in Treviso by the Benetton family. This sports centre, which covers more than 22 hectares, is open to all and offers the possibility of taking part in a wide range of sports activities including swimming, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, gym and golf. The Maggior Consiglio is the ideal hotel for those coming to Ghirada for a course or a competition such as the rugby Topolino Tournament: as well as having signed an exclusive agreement to be the official hospitality partner for the Ghirada and for all the activities run by Verde Sport, the hotel is only a few hundred metres from the sports centre and our guests can reach it easily on foot in less than five minutes.
Court of Treviso
The Maggior Consiglio is ideal for those coming to Treviso for institutional purposes: the hotel is less than 3 kilometres from the court and less than 5 kilometres from the new institutional headquarters built in the former Appiani area, where many organisations like the police headquarters, prefecture, police forces, revenue agency and industrial associations like Unindustria are based.
San Camillo and Cà Foncello
Treviso has two very large hospitals, the Cà Foncello in the south-east of the city and the San Camillo in the north. The Maggior Consiglio is located very conveniently for both: the Cà Foncello, Treviso’s main hospital, is less than 3 kilometres away, at the next junction on the ring road, and can be reached in less than 5 minutes by car. The Cà Foncello general local hospital, near Treviso town centre, is about 10 minutes away by car.
